General Election Hustings

CTI are pleased to announce that they will again be hosting the Election Hustings for Ilkley, which will be held at All Saints Church, Ilkley, on Monday, 2nd December, at 7-30pm.  All are welcome to attend, and the venue has been switched from our usual location at Christchurch to the larger capacity at All saints to accomodate the large numbers that usually attend.

All six candidates have been invited, so we hope for a good range of questions, answers and debate!

New Moderator

At the recent Annual General Meeting of Churches Together in Ilkley, Rev David Callander stood down as Moderator, and was replaced by Simon Myers, from All Saints Church.

You may not be aware, but the Moderator's post rotates annually between the Clergy and the Laity, and it falls to the Laity for 2019-20.  The Rev Dr Roberta Topham, from Christchurch, was appointed Deputy Moderator at the same AGM, and will become Moderator the following year.

Farewell, and a Welcome

There has been a recent change at Ben Rhydding Methodist Church, who have said farewell to Rev Vicki Atkins  (seen on left), who has moved on to pastures new.  CTI would like to thank Vicki for her service to the churches Together in Ilkley. 

The new Minister at Ben Rhydding is Shannon DeLaureal, who is shown on our picture to the right.  Shannon is originally from Louisiana, but arrives in Yorkshire from Ireland, where she has been serving for the past ten years.
